What did you do to your Mach 1 today

Sat one in front of one of the front wheels and they don't look all that similar, but the sun was very low and starting to get a little orange/gold in color. The more I think about it though, the more I want to wait for the paint and try it out on one. I was really hoping for this look:

Curious to hear your thoughts on the paint colors when they show up. A true bronze would look really good on EG like you have in the picture.

Got my "Bronze" SVE HP wheels from LMR today. Not thrilled with the color, they are more Beige than Bronze. Wow, they are super light compared to the stock HP wheel, at least 10 pounds less per wheel.

Are you sure you got the right color. This is not "bronze" by any means, more like titan with a pinch of blue and green. Or your camera colors are way off .

They look like their pictures on line, only lighter. I had hoped were lousy color renditions of the bronze, they weren't great representations, but not the way I hoped.. They are not really bronze, but beige in my book, and a lot less vibrant color than the pics.

That color name is misleading. Pictures are a fair representation of what they look like (compared to your photos of the wheels) but I agree with you, not quite as bronze as you’d hope.

Please post a pic if you do paint them, would be interested to see how they come out.

You may already know, but powder coat is a good way to go too. Especially with metallic colors. You can often get a “pop” with powder coating you can’t quite replicate with paint.

I have checked LMS website afterwards too and you are right, the wheels they advertise as "satin bronze" are nowhere near bronze though they still look different from the pics you posted. I might even say that yours look better, but it probably does not help with the wrong color.
On the other hand, the video which introduces these wheels has only black and gray in it and they both look quite authentic, so one may wonder why would they advertise the third color by wrong name and even wrong pics?
Anyway, if I was really hung on the color I would send them back, but I guess they have some other perks too.

I installed the ZL1 Addons tow hook/license plate bracket. I have a local cop that keeps pulling me over for not having a front plate mounted so this was my way to not mount the factory license plate holder to the front of the car.

You gotta do what you gotta do but that would suck!! At least you didn’t have to drill holes in your car but it woukd only be a matter of days before I woukd be in the emergency room getting a dozen stitches in my leg from that license plate.

It don't stick that far off the front of the car, you would trip over the front splitter before hitting the plate. The picture makes it look like its out there further than what it is, there is about a 1" space between the plate and car.

So this arrived today. About 8 weeks iirc. It’s a long ride from Poland and it’s custom so well worth the wait. Admittedly a bit surprised by the lack of packaging for an expensive piece but it looks in perfect condition so I can’t complain but I do think Guardian has way too much faith in FedEx. I’m guessing the metal hub is a Ford piece by the markings, perhaps a core that they modify to make smaller diameter and flat bottomed. Anyone know what the shiney silver part is that is bolted to the lower rear of the center section?
overall I love the feel and think is going to be a good match to my custom seats. Bently red is the stiching And noon marker. It’s a bit darker than the red on the hood decal and rocker stripes but not enough so to make a fuss. Alcaterra high on the sides with black leather. I’m going to add this to my growing pile of parts to be added in the spring when she comes out of hibernation.

Going to mount them up later this week and see if the color grows on me. If not, I already ordered some cans of Dupli-color Bronze and some cans of Gold wheel paint to try out.

Inside the house they look a lot like the stock color wheels. In the golden hour light, just before twilight, they look much better, but an hour in the morning and one in the evening might not cut it??

That's disappointing. I was tempted to do those just cause I love the birds nest but think bronze would look amazing on fjg.

Mach 1 is now running a Flex fuel tune.
It wasn’t today but been playing with it for last 2 weeks.
Wow what a difference in the low end!
Feel sorry for my rear tires!

Found a place that's going to powder coat them, Gloss Triple Bronze, for a descent price. Should have them mounted early next week. I should have the GT500 hood mounted by the next weekend too.
