That’s fine, but it would still be compromised somewhat from original design using any tire that didn’t come close to the technical specs of the supplied as designed great cup 2 tires on track. Those things are beast tires.I think the track alignment also plays a huge factor into it more than the tuning part. A properly aligned HP with the PS4S does quite well.
It’s just a matter of simple engineering. More grip requires more force to control which required a spring rate change to extract the most performance-which is what the option is all about in the first place.
The Cup2 tire is a very different tire than the PS4S.
Your track alignment would improve any car/tire in track conditions for sure, but why bother having a track optimized alignment when not using the track optimized tire? Might it extract the best times you can get from the PS4S? Sure.
I’m sure the PS4S is fine with the bigger wheels it’s just better with the Cup2 plus a track alignment because that level of grip is what that spring set is designed, engineered for and expecting to see.
If I put the HP wheels and cup 2 on my PP car I wouldn’t be optimized either because of the spring rate, but like your PS4S I’m sure it would be fine.
I just feel that the best part of the HP is the Cup2 tires, so once they’re changed out it’s like…..what’s the point.
