Yesterday I tried to trade up for a FJG, the dealership and I came to a price via text and email. When I went to go get the car, 4 hours away mind you, they added 5k on top of the deal.... How they thought I wouldn't notice was beyond me... I ended up walking away. Trading my 6 speed in for an automatic has been a huge hassle. Anyone here want to make a deal??? bahahaha

Nothing. But my wife loves the car enough to want to drive it, and she's now requested an automatic. I ve owned both a 10 speed gt and manual, and wouldn't mind owning another 10 speed. Either way, happy wife happy life right?

Wow.
You mean to tell me that you have it in writing that they would sell the car to you at MSRP, but when you got there, DRIVING 4 HOURS LATER, they told you it had an ADM on it?!?!
Wow. I wouldn't think that they would be able to get away with that??

I hear you, but I like to say happy wife/happy husband = happy life. We can’t let things be one sided now, lol. I do understand your willingness to compromise with your wife though. My wife knows how to drive a manual, but she doesn’t want to anymore. We just had that conversation last night. She’s never driven my Bullitt, although she can if she wants too.

Well she compromised for me to get the Mach 1, so I'm more than willing to trade into an auto for sure.

Replaced the backup light with a Diode Dynamics LED bulb.

While I had the rear underbody cover off, I went ahead and installed edge trim where the active exhaust harness touches the pinch weld, in addition to wrapping that small area of the harness with self bonding silicone tape as a backup.

Yeah you wouldn't think they could. He was real hesitant to send me the paperwork via text or email. Would just give me the "financed numbers" after the trade. When I finally saw the contract he added 5k markup. He tried to tell me that he used a "retail price" for my trade in which meant he had to use a "retail price" for his vehicle which included the 5k markup. Then when I called him on it, he tried to tell me that the 5k markup was because of the transmission and appearance package like I was stupid. I said those prices are included in the original MSRP. It is what it is at this point. He didn't make a sale that day but I'm sure someone will get screwed over by him soon enough.

What size trim did you use?

Where is the potential wire harness damage occurring? Do you have a picture?

It’s where the wires exit the actuator at the top rear edge of each muffler. There is a pinch weld that runs across the back of the car at that area.

One thing you can try first is to loosen the two clamps between the cats and resonator and simply push the whole exhaust towards the engine to make sure any gaps inside the clamps are closed, to get some space between the weld and the wires. You may have to take off the plastic undercover so you can push each of the four hangers thru their rubber grommets.

Thank you. I will have a look under there later.

On my car, it was primarily the passenger side harness that was practically touching the pinch weld. I didn’t see an easy way to slightly relocate the harness at that location.

I only thought to look as there is an older thread with pics and actually chaffing damage on someone else’s car.
