The Hotrod has been in the back of the garage and not driven all summer. September the temperatures and humidity are lower, time to start driving it. I switched positions with the Shelby. Not an easy task to put the Shelby in the back sideways. With the help of a friend it took 5 times back and forth to get it in position without scraping anything!

I decided to try the S&B/JLT closed box CAI. Fit and finish are nice, install is simple, two lid options for additional air flow.

Sealed box definitely helps funnel air from outside engine bay, however too much stop and go does seem to become a heat soak issue with increased IAT for some period after returning to highway speeds with 10-12deg above ambient at steady highway speed.

Sound in cabin with the sealed lid is definitely lower, not sure how I feel about that yet.

With the vented lid it's closer to stock Sound, however stop and go IAT is much higher than stock as the top has no seal with hood surface. It does come down relatively quick after highway speeds, but the reason I tried this box was to see temps without engine bay bleed-over.

Haven't been able to track it yet, but looking at road course in September and Sebring in October so I'll run it until then at least to see how it performs. One unplanned downside as shown in photo is the Ford driver's side oil separator will not fit in it's installed location due to the size of the box.

Met some guys for lunch and a Blue Ridge Parkway drive and a cruise-in in Lenoir, NC. Good times.

Rear Desk Lid Panel came loose; replaced under warranty. Had PPF and Ceramic applied to deter the scratching and swirls that developed on my old one..

Attended a Road America Track day in June. Lots of instruction, classes and lead/follow out on the track; beginning to learn/memorize the track and each turns braking, turn in, apex, and track out position.

Hit 10k today, then gave her a bath...parked, back in the garage. Old knee injury popped back up in full force over the summer ... It comes and goes, tendons are pretty much shot along with everything else. Need a rebuild but putting it off. hadn't really driven it in almost 60 days. Felt good to get back behind the wheel.

Nothing exciting compared to the rest of you all posting lately, but it's something.

That's a Futura trailer, correct? How is it? Wide enough? Seems like the easiest approach for getting a low vehicle on a trailer.
it is perfect for my 500 that has carbon fibre track pack front springs, but my 350 is really low i have the 4 degree race ramps for it Even with the futura fully lowered. My front wheel track is 3 inches wider than a stock gt350 with the spl lower control arms. They custom made them longer for my car.

the futura i can say rnough good things about it.

Man.. get that knee fixed pronto! I've had multiple surgeries on my hands (trigger finger) and as I age I keep telling my doctors, chiropractor etc... Just make sure my right hand and left leg continue to function. Most just chuckle because they know the story and why I'm asking....

Well, I got to beat up on a KTM two wheeler, a GSX 600 and another hemi chargerā€¦then got my @$$ handed to me by a 911 turbo and a bright red Ferrari running together up the 405 in northern Mexico.

ā€¦so I did what any self respecting 350 owner would do and called Hellion, but had to leave a message šŸ˜‚

looks like you need these...
Thanks, but if you look at picture of the Hotrod I have Dollieā€™s under the tires. They work well and the cars are easy to move. The problem is when I move the Shelby against the wall with Dollieā€™s the Dollieā€˜s take up to much space. I need the the Shelby right up against the wall in order to fit the Roush in. The Shelby is much wider than the Hotrod. I like to have the extra 10 inches to walk around the car. Thanks for the thought though.
