Looking at my other car, I have strips like this on the hood itself. I'm surprised Ford missed it. Surely they must have noticed the same? Either way, good to know. If my car sticks around, I will be doing this for sure.

Actually, I believe they added something similar on the corners of the hood in the 2020 editions. Could have been the earlier years... idk mine's a 2016 tho.

Installed Diode Dynamics Sequential Turn signals up front.

Had the roof and rear quarters finished with xpel so entire car is covered now.

Painted calipers

Had rims cleaned and 2 coats of ceramic

Installed front row hook

Changed to Z26 brake pads. What a difference in brake dust reduction.

Unfortunately it is a 2 step process. The ones that come with the sticker emblems are too big for the hole and the tabs snap off. Had to use these emblems and stuck them onto the smaller blank center caps.

TL;DR: I may be an idiot, but no harm no foul.

Funny story: I put on the caliperfexion bolts yesterday. I wasn't sure what fit the provided ARP 1/2 x 20 12pt nuts, but after testing a few wrenches, a 15mm wrench fit. I snugged them up, and then went for the torque wrench.

No dice. I only had 6 sided 15mm sockets. Nothing fit. So I tightened them using the human torque wrench, put the wheels on, and locked up the garage.

This morning, in another car, I went to Advance Auto Parts looking for a 12 sided 15mm socket. Their tool selection was garbage, and I go home empty handed. Before I ordered one from Amazon, I google the specific ARP nut that was included in the kit, and saw that a 9/16" 12 sided socket is actually specified.

In the back of my tool chest... inside the 30 year old ACE Hardware SAE socket set that I haven't used in at least a decade... lo and behold... a 9/16" 12 sided socket. It worked perfectly.

Rereading the instructions, it says quite cleary, "Install one of the supplied washers onto the stud followed by a 12 point ARP nut (a 12 point 9/16” socket is necessary)." bold by me. Whoops!
