I burned a 1/2 tank of $4.19, 93 premium. Spanked a "392 Scat Pack" Charger on Northbound I-75, (3 lanes with no traffic for 2 miles) and drove my Shelby above the posted "legal" speed limit while taking the Chargers "lunch" money. Then drove it home & gave it a bath....It was a good day...šŸ˜‡
One of those tried hard to entice me to race him yesterday. Fortunately for him I had just left home and oil temp was only up to 140*F.

Installed Diode Dynamics Sequential Turn signals up front.

Had the roof and rear quarters finished with xpel so entire car is covered now.

Painted calipers

Had rims cleaned and 2 coats of ceramic

Installed front row hook

Changed to Z26 brake pads. What a difference in brake dust reduction.

I decided to switch the Hotrod and the Shelby around In the garage today. Itā€˜s tedious to say the least. I had a friend come over to make sure I didnā€™t bump into anything. Iā€™m looking forward to polishing the Shelby and hopefully the weather will warm up. Iā€™m sick of these cold damp days!! I need a t-shirt, windows down, pipes singing blast through the gears!

Spring cleaningā€¦ finally got a chance to pull all 4 wheels for cleaning.

Also cleaned up the calipers and the aluminum portion of the rotors. Just one of those things I see every time I walk up to the car. My technique is to lightly use a small bronze brush with a small amount brake cleaner on the aluminumā€¦ works like champ to clean the brake dust crud.

Chip, you and "CarbonZ" keep flaunting those hood vents in your pictures. Stop that, cause I'm liking them. Sometime I may bend to that weakness.
Sargent1, looks like you are really enjoying your car at the track. I like that look also, a little bit of "Track Rubber" on the front end gives your Shelby some nice "character".
Even though it's going to get washed and waxed away...

I agree. After 10 track days with this car, I'm going to pull the trigger on hood vents. Getting a lot of hood lift at high speeds. Just debating whether to cut factory hood or get a GT hood to cut up. I think a lightweight driveshaft is also in order.

I solved the hood lift with VHB weather stripping. I think I spent $30 bucks because you have to buy 10 ft a roll and just shared it with locals interested. Just place it over the headlights. Gucci.
