Snow on the way to mid Atlantic region, so it’s gonna sleep for another week or so.

Mine has not left the garage since Dec 31st. Looks like only trace amounts of snow tomorrow. Then next week some rain which will hopefully wash all the crap off the roads and then driving on above 40F days is an option again :like:

Is it the new gen MGW? If yes, can you give your impressions of it?
Yes this is the Gen 2 shifter. I have driven both but not back to back. The shifter throw feels slightly shorter than the 1st Gen and slightly lower. It has a very positive feel. It doesn’t seem overly tight like some people complain about on the 1st Gen.

Just curious, what does a Team Shelby membership provide? Do they organize track days?

Here's a link to the Team Shelby site where they have more info about it. They do events, have member discounts, etc. Even though I don't own a "Shelby made" car I wanted to check out the members forum. Members can get a discount at the Ford Performance Driving School which I thought looked appealing.

Finally was barely warm enough yesterday afternoon to wash the track dirt off of her. You could still see the outlines of the numbers on the doors. Lol

Just curious...why you say that?
I believe the traditional thinking is that turning on a cold engine and just letting it idle for X mins is worse than turning it on, waiting for the cold idle to subside, and then driving it (gently) so it gets up to temperature more quickly.

Basically it comes down to how long the engine is running cold and whether the oil ever gets up to temperature.

That's how I've always interpreted it anyway.

Just letting a cold engine idle for 10-15 minutes does not boil off the condensation built up during a cold start. That water stays with the oil and can cause corrosion on engine interior exposed metal parts further contaminating oil.

Thank you very much for that bit of knowledge gentlemen.
