Hit 9,000+ miles today. At 8166 car didn't want to start replaced clutch sensor and my puddle lamp.
I rolled over 9k miles yesterday too. No troubles.

Ceramic coated with Adams Graphine ceramic. Was easier then I thought it was going to be.

Met up with a member of my local car club who purchased my car's sister about 6 months ago. Ran up into the mountain of north Georgia today and painted my wheels a lovely shade of "Brake Dust Brown"

Made new friends at the PCA HPDE at Laguna Seca today. I continue to be amazed at the ease with which this car keeps up with some very expensive hardware.

Today was also my first time ever getting cleared for solo track time!

Got black flagged for being too loud (96.5 dB) on my second run. Kept the exhaust in normal the rest of the day lol.

Dawn patrol. Ignore the completely incorrect order of the numbers on this door. I fixed it later haha.

We got some mild drizzle early on. A 996 GT3 spun out on turn 11 in front of me. My car behaved perfectly, mostly due to the electronic nannies saving me from myself.

Snuck in a pic lined up on the grid. Definitely a “pinch me is this really happening??” moment.

The 996 GT3 has no nannies at all. It was the last pure analog GT3. I usually hate 996s but I’d take the GT3 version of it, which used to be reasonably cost…even they are pricey now

Full decon, polish, denib and ceramic coat over the weekend. Had about 12 hours invested all together but really enjoyed doing it.

Standby for pic dump, its been a while since I posted anyway.

I used 3D polish - its super efficient as it cuts and polishes at the same time and removes easy. Downside, its kind of oily so you def need to wipe the car down with alcohol before coating. You can buy this stuff on Amazon too. All polish was done with a Rupes 21 and Big Foot 3" with microfiber pads. Even if you're an amateur you can do this.

Removed dirt from clear coat with a 3M denibber. I had several pieces in the spoiler and one in the top of the fender where it meets the A pillar. Also found a piece in the base coat in the 1/4 - that one is staying....

Filled a nasty rock chip in the hood. I totally get the PPF thing I just like the look without it better. Unfortunately, it leads to touch up work

I used Chemical Guys Carbon Force. It was my first time ever applying a coating and its a really simple and straight forward process. It just like applying wax except you really cant see it unless you used too much. It's really important to work small sections so you can be sure to remove it all before moving to the next. If not, you will get high spots and will need to buff these out - lesson learned on the rear bumper

I'm very happy with the finished product and will no doubt be doing this to other cars or helping friends/family with theirs. I'm going to let the car sit for most of the week so this stuff can flash off. I did 3 coats and it still feels almost tacky a day later. That said, I only used half the bottle so have enough for one more car.

sounds like a great time! I am hoping to make it out west someday. For now I will "settle" for Road America. Was going to do my second track day in August, but got derailed by hand surgery. Looking forward to next year. Stay safe.

Hadn't driven my 350 for a while due to life and weather. Decided to take it out for a spin on our back country roads. Temps were in the 60's so the exhaust sounded louder than normal with more pops and gurgles... Once warmed up to temp I started keeping her in the 4-5k rev range in 3/4th gear. Never got to crazy speeds but found myself grinning ear to ear and laughing out loud. Just can't get over how fun and unique this car is. This car has so much to offer in terms of performance. Every time I contemplate the idea of cashing her in, I just go for a drive.

Ahhhh Laguna Seca. I will make it out there one day with my car....
It's a lot of fun on sport bikes. I hope to run it in a car as well someday.
