Took car of a few of the common items under the hood:

1. Replaced air filter
2. Installed both oil separators
3. Installed redline hood struts.

Have to say I am very impressed with the quality, packaging and design of the redline product. Leaps and bounds better that the Ford Performance items. Even the way in which they packaged everything I felt as though I was unpacking a luxury product. One of the things I really like is that I was able to pull off the branding stickers and clear up the shocks with some GooGone for a very OEM appearance (sorry Redline!)

Then I gave her a quick bath and tried out my new CoverCraft Form Fit Cover (another really nice item)

I'm looking at their covers for my winter storage. How do you like it and would it be something you can take on and off during the year to keep dust off or should this just be for winter storage?

Met up with a guy I ran into at a car show earlier this year. He was enamored by my 2019 GT350 and wanted to get a ride and a better look at it. He mentioned that he owned a fully restored 66 GT350. So 3 months later we met at his garage and what I saw blew me away. A fully restored 66 GT350H. The car has won many awards including gracing the cover of the Shelby America Catalog. He told me a story of being at a Shelby National Car Show event when he noticed a guy leaning over the front radiator cover into the engine bay. Walking briskly toward his car he was thinking, "the nerve of this guy touching my car". The guy continues to lean and says: "Is this your car?" My friend says "yes, it is". Carroll Shelby then turns around and says "dang, this is thing is better than when it came off the line."

No issues pulling it on and off. We have a bunch of activity in the garage so I plan to keep it on year-round (provided the car is clean). Not heavy at all. Very happy with the quality. Really like the dark blue too.

The FP black ones are single piece and don't have the cap. Plus look a hell of a lot better.
Just FYI these are defintely 2 piece. Just ordered from American Muscle (M-1012K-MB, item #406446) and they were exactly like the one that came with the car (2 piece) only black in color. I returned them, didnt think to take a pic. One of the questions and answers on AM even says they're one piece, but they're unfortunately not.

Well, shit. I guess the silver lining at this point is the car isn't a DD and in a garage so its less likely to have issues compared to a daily that sees elements. Luckily my OE ones were fine after 4 years, but I'll swing back to this issue at some point I guess.

Thank you! would it be possible to send me a link to the exact model/color you purchased?

Washed the Shelby and removed all of the rubber from the wheel wells after the Mid Ohio HPDE weekend.
Picks of 2 other GT-350’S in attendance. Your mileage may vary……

Gave her a wash then went on a little cruise around town. Hadn't started it up in almost two weeks.

IMG_20210912_103628~2.jpg

Previous owner hit something with the front end and scraped up the lower black plastic piece in the circled area. Small but always bothered me. Ordered and picked up a replacement piece from my local dealer while on my cruise. Also ordered up the R splitter from levittown today. Will install both when the splitter arrives. (Hopefully a couple weeks) No sense pulling off the front more than I have to.

Still waiting on the Victor racing wing as well. Last update I got was majority of it was ready to do, but covid disruptions had them short on a couple pieces. The main CF wing section is set though...so hopefully soon.

i;m not sure what you are referring to?
Looked familiar, pretty sure I know the car and owner (Kieth) so just checking. 6S1615 is the Shelby American VIN, somewhat similar to the current chassis numbers. Full VIN would be SFM6S1615 but commonly shortened to 6Sxxx(x) for 66's, 5Sxxx for 65 street cars, and 5Rxxx for 65 R-Models.

Anyway, beautiful car with a super nice owner.
