Now that’s a product I haven’t used in a long time. Was my go-to for a long time for wheel & tire cleaning. Got away from it to try other products. I’ve heard that the formula seems different and doesn’t work as well as it did in the 80’s and 90’s. Looks like it still works well for you?

could be a tad closer than that, and take another gear or two…

…they pull 3.6 0-60 and 12.0 in the 1/4 😉
I don’t know, I’m no Bob Glidden or Don Nicholson with my Shelby, but maybe he’s just letting me feel good ?
Or maybe he missed a shift….
Hahaha 🤣 funny 😆

First cruise yesterday since putting it away for the winter last October. Felt great getting back behind the wheel.

I did notice the car barely started back up after a cruise. Had a key fob low battery and a power steering fault. I replaced it this morning and it started up quickly and messages are gone.

Rebuilt the calipers since the dust boots were properly cooked. Once you figure out a method, it really wasn't too bad, but it does make a mess.

During my spring detailed inspection I also found the driveshaft carrier bearing bushing was cooked and starting to fail. Turns out it's not a serviceable part. My first thought was "eff it", I'll put a QA1 in there. But holy sticker shock! I'm sure they are quite nice, but I can't justify that kind of coin. The OEM DS isn't too awful much money, but by the grace of the universe I stumbled on this piece:

https://www.jxbperformance.com/prod...eshaft-center-support-bearing-carrier-upgrade

Finished the install today, and WOW, there's a huge difference in deflection. The OE setup had roughly 3/8 - 1/2" of play. This thing doesn't budge.

I haven't driven it yet so I can't say what the impact to NVH is but I don't care too much as long as it does what it says on the box. I went with the "track" bushing option. This car doesn't get driven often on the street.

Tomorrow is my appointment with my local Ford dealer to have them replace the fuel filter @ 33k-ish miles. Lo and behold, today I got a call from the "acquisition team" saying my vehicle was flagged as a "high-demand" vehicle, and they'll be doing a complimentary appraisal and making me an offer to buy the car.

This will be the 3rd time this has happened. I was going to wash the car before heading over, but maybe I won't so they see it and say "eh nevermind" :giggle:

Drove to my son's ball game.
