Ended up in hollyweird today, so I swung by to grab a pic…

…and the gate guard was nice as could be, but he was like “you can’t park here” and my argument that I wasn’t “parking” lasted just long enough to sneak a photo 😂

This was the funniest thing; in Amsterdam people go completely gaga for it. In the UK literally NOBODY showed any reaction. They’d hear the V8 rumble coming down the street, turn around, realize it wasn’t an Aston Martin, give sort of a “oh dear” look and carry on. Haha.
When I was waiting in line for the ferry with the E-Type next to me, people were coming over constantly to take pictures and talk to the E-Type owner. I was ignored 100% 😄
It’s the stripes. I’m English. The vast majority aren’t aware of the Mustang/stripe association so when they see a car with stripes they assume that it’s something the owner has stuck on to make it look racy. If your car had no stripes the eyes would have followed you down the street.

I went to the “Mid-Ohio” track over the weekend for a HPDE event. One “Boss”, “Mach 1” (parked next to me) and a “17 GT350” My instructor was a super nice man that drives some AWD 911 turbo Porsche. He could not believe the performance of the GT-350. Acceleration, Braking, Handling and the repeatability. Lap after Lap. His words were
"You drove this car faster and faster every lap. Off line at times when you got a late pass signal and they didn't slow to let you get by in two different corners. This car never didn't turn or react to your input, I just sat as a passenger and enjoyed the ride"
Then he asked what I paid for it and said "Unbelievable, I now have a lot of respect for the GT-350"

Fun time Ray.
The reaction you described is the same as I get when Porsche, Ferrari and Corvette guys drive my car. Bang for the buck is unreal.

I was shopping 911 turbo's myself after owning two Mustangs in a row and in the end decided the GT350 was too good to pass up after driving it and realizing that a 997.2 Turbo was going to be 35-40k more.

Those calipers look superb! Let us know how you did it, please! I want to paint the Brembos on my Trackhawk.
