i went with gt500 valve covers and drilled out the hole for the oil drain back on the separatorTiming chain cover.
Sounds like a good group of guysYesterday at the car meet in the morning I mentioned to a friend I wanted to get my oil changed in the car, another friend overheard and said “Hey bring your car to my house I have a lift when ever you want to do it. He called me today said ”Bring your car over now, I moved my cars out of the garage Let’s do your oil” I flew over there. The plastic plug was leaking ever so little. Luckily I bought 2 OEM plugs when I got the oil and filter from Rock Auto last year. The new plug was just a little tighter. Looked at it tonight not even a little tiny bit of a leak. Now the quest to get a new oil filter for next year. Actually my friend changed the oil, he wanted to keep his floor perfectly clean. I cleaned the underneath of the car while he did it. A couple guys stopped by and asked “what heck are you doing? “ when I said I was cleaning the underneath they thought I was completely crazy and start giving a bunch of crap. After about 5 minutes they picked up a couple of towels and stated to help and began telling me if I drive though a puddle they’ll be pissed. Well the car has fresh oil, is clean underneath and my neck and shoulders are sore, another good day with car friends.
it's what the car should've been from the factory its an animal and I'm on low boost can't wait to get a built engine and turn it upHow do you like your turbo Voodoo?
fantastic, those are going on my rotating wall paper!Detail it. Photograph it. Drive it.
How do you like those? Think I've seen them on eBay. Did you use the double sided tape?Rinsed the gravel off the skirts and installed rock guards by ZL1 Addons. Living on a gravel road sucks…as slow as I can go, and still managed to pile on in there.
I like them overall. They’re doing their job and keeping the gravel off the skirts, however, and this is somewhat unique to my gravel road situation, but I’m now getting gravel piling up between top of the flap and the wheel well where the moulded well indents away from the flap. (See pic). I think I may grab another set and trim the excess to see if I can clean it up a bit to prevent the gravel from pooling there. How do you like those? Think I've seen them on eBay. I have the jlt foam things, but they look a little cheap to me.
Thank you for the info. You definitely pick up a lot more gravel/rocks than I do. It's crazy, with a stickier tire how much I hear rocks bouncing in the wheel well and under the car. It drives me nuts.I like them overall. The double sided adhesive should hold pretty well, I’ve used it before on exteriors for cell phone antennas back in the day and never had issues for years. I didn’t look if the directions mentioned it, but we used a heat gun and heated the flaps to pre-form them close to the shape of the well so it wouldn’t be trying to spring back to flat.
(I brushed way more rocks out of that area before I snapped the pic, so out on the roads which are full of junk around here right now, you may see some there as well)
Drives me nuts too haha. It won’t stop us from enjoying the hell out of em tho!Thank you for the info. You definitely pick up a lot more gravel/rocks than I do. It's crazy, with a stickier tire how much I hear rocks bouncing in the wheel well and under the car. It drives me nuts.
