What did you do to your GT350 today?

Lol did the tow truck guys stop by and give you a hard time for not having a tow hook? Same thing happened to me at the Laguna PCA HPDE a few months ago. Hope you had a blast, I’m jealous.

It was a SpeedSF event and their policy is tow hooks required (I guess because they have incidents every event ). They said it was fine to not have a hook if I accepted responsibility for the damage that would occur from the tow truck pulling me from wherever if needed.

I read on the forum that the S550 can be towed temporarily from the front strut tower brace, so I got a tow strap and had a fun day. It had rained the night before and drizzled periodically throughout the day so it was a slip-and-slide on turn 3 all day.

I've often wondered whether it was possible to just loop a tow strap around the metal bumper piece behind the bumper cover (the part that you normally attach the ZL1 or other tow hook to) and just use that? Although I guess any side to side pulling would crack the grille if it was pushed out through that...

I read in a thread here that Ford doesn't recommend that because the bumper support is an arched piece of aluminum. A pulling force would bend it (as an arch it's stronger in resisting pushing forces, like you'd experience in a front end collision). However this doesn't make much sense if the ZL1 tow hook connects to that same bumper support...

I got my wife this for her Ford Edge this Christmas, and I can't get it to fit her car. But I'm thinking that I might get it to fit our Shelby ! My son said "What do you need that for ?"

I should have put this up yesterday but installed my Soler Engineering Throttle Body. Got out for a short test run and does it ever make improvements. Better drivability and more power everywhere in the rev range.
