Low profile rails?
Yes. I was worried how far they would hang beyond the pinch weld as I haven't seen any of the BMR or Steeda in person. Now after seeing them, I can say they are perfect, they are 1/16" lower than the pinch weld. Here's a side shot.

I like to disassemble things.
The BMR low profile rails are very well executed. I had both versions and must say that the slimmed up ones you have are my favorite. Kelly at BMR did a great job with them.

I had to pull one of the brand new OEM front rotors off yesterday... It had ~1 mm of runout which is ridiculous. Now the "joy" of getting Ford's craptacular warranty team to authorize replacement. :(

Did you check the hub runout as well?

Seems odd that the rotor itself would have that much runout. When I installed new rotors I noticed quite a bit of corrosion on the hubs under the old rotors. Is it possible that a burr or small piece of rust got lodged under the mounting surface when you installed the new one rotor?

In any case, best wishes for a speedy resolution!

I did indeed check the hub runout, the needle on the dial indicator doesn't even move. Hub is also clean, I wire brushed it to clean it up because there was a ton of corrosion. Unfortunately a hub would be a cheaper fix than a new rotor, haha.

I put the old rotor back on to stop the shaking, but it was bedded in with my track pads so now I have to go through all of that mess again.

I'm amazed that they somehow produced a rotor shaped like a potato chip.

edit: swung by the dealer at lunch and I should have a replacement by my next track day.

New custom knob from Anarchy Motive. Its HEAVY, color is almost exact to the body, about a shade lighter. Excellent craftsmanship...Fits nice in my large hand....

I need that exact knob but couldn't find it in their web store. Which model is it and what did it cost.

60 degree temps have arrived. Simply rinsed her off to provide a somewhat proper maiden voyage after a couple months of dust accumulation. I don't know what to say about this car...an unhinged lunatic to say the least. From its looks, to the epic engine/exhaust sound, to fighting the tramlining from the 305s up front that are also simultaneously trying to destroy the car with rocks...literally a mad man in sheet metal. And I rather like it. Can't wait to log more miles @ 12 mpg. Sorry for sharing what has already been discussed for 3 years.

Got me some GT350 mats, front rock chip guard from CJ and some cobra key chain from fleabay.

Do the Ford performance hood struts work on these cars? I bought them for my GT but never installed them and traded the car for the Shelby last week.

Unfortunately they do not. You can get a set of Redline though and those work like a charm.
