:headbonk: Glad was just a label. I'm sure you were as satisfied as I was when we discovered the engine oil leak was coming from the O ring being ripped from the dip stick!
Oh yeah. Strange noises are very disconcerting on track.

What speeds were you seeing on the long straights? Great video, thanks for sharing.
I believe Tomster has been in the low/mid 160's.

Finish 2 days of open track at Daytona International Speedway Friday. Ran 8 - 30 minute sessions. Beat on the old voodoo for two days, didn't use a drop of oil and out ran most other vehicles in my group, including BMWs, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porches, and Vipers. They may have been more agile on the infield portion of the track, but the Gt350 top end speed and pull evened it up. Here is a little video from first session day 1, still learning track and car. What a beast..... https://youtu.be/PoIlJ8ieavg
Thats awesome, I live in central FL but haven't been able to make it to Daytona yet. How much did it cost you to get on the track ?

EF300, not cheap, depends on what group is running the open track. This organization was 795 for 2 days plus garage rental if you wanted one. Others charge 600/day to 1295/3 days just depends on organization and what they can rent the track for I guess.

Great video! I had the same issue with front of the hood wobbling between 145-157 when I did the Poconos last season. Wonder what's the solution, or just tape the front of the hood so air doesn't flow underneath (if that's what causing the wobbling)

Top speed I hit was 157, and next time I do Poconos I'll try to hit 160.

scannon, didn't have much time to look, but just before the bus-stop braking area on the back stretch and the start finish line it would hit 155-157. One thing I need to look at is the hood would start to wobble pretty good at about the 150 mark. She still has a little more speed in her....

Oil change and ordered a UPR clean side separator for the driver's side. I don't feel like blocking off the only half decent access to the oil dipstick with a FRPP catch can so I can survive with one shiny thing in the bay, I think.

Bath Day

So I just joined the forum after purchasing my GT350. My first thread is here https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100711

I'm a former professional detailer and to me new car means lots of hours getting it ready. So if you click the link above, you'll notice I had white stripes on the car. Well, I don't like stickers on my cars. Here are a few reflection shots.

SRP pedals the other day —went with the medium. Plenty wide for me. Nice and grippy on the brake and clutch. Biggest difference I’ve noticed so far is my foot doesn’t slide off the brake when I rock to blip and, of course, I can leave more foot on the brake since gas is closer now (I don’t heel toe I use left and right side of foot etc).

Also finally made a real effort and cleaning tailpipes. Used bar keepers friend and a mild scotch dish scrub sponge. Worked like a charm.

Anyone know where I can source matte black tips to replace the factory stainless?
How was the install on the SRP pedals? I ordered mine. Did all the pedals fit with the supplied HW including the dead pedal?

Yep all fit fine. Just gotta have a decent drill/bits and make sure you leave yourself room to put the nuts on the back of the bolts for clutch and brake. Gas is plastic and easy. For the dead pedal I just screwed it into the factory dead pedal since it clips in etc.

Installed passenger side JLT oil catch can and their rock blockers. More importantly, I drove it. Had a rare nice and (relatively) warm day last Friday. Nice coastal drive before the crowds are out. Put 100 miles on it for a total of 218 miles.

Car is scheduled for new car paint correction, Opti and Xpel Ultimate mid-week.

Not just today, but recently changed the oil/filter (3rd time), transmission fluid, and diff fluid.

Got it inspected for the first time....didn't really want to let them drive it:lol:

Two years of ownership went by fast!
