Finally after 7 weeks outside in the weather because I couldn't park it under cover due to renovations I have Finally cleaned it. WOW I completely forgot how it looked clean and I didn't realise it was Black under all that dirt and grime 🥰🥰🥰

Just something about a S550 covered in soap that makes me smile, really highlights the terrific job Ford did with the body styling on this generation.

Can I ask what tyre dressing you used?

Yeah there is something about the Mustang covered in soap 🥰.

This is what I use for the tyres and was what the opti coat place used. I find it works well and the bottle has lasted nearly 6 years so far.

Nicely chosen, a very good product. It also seems to be one of the better options for those PS4S's.

I use it straight from the bottle, although many diluted it 2:1 for a runnier consistency and less obvious finish.

Finished off my mustang for now. Carbonised grey, MMD v-series spoiler, yellow accent stripes, calipers and interior stitching. Pretty happy with it!

A few random shots, need to give it a good wash and a nice backdrop for it to really pop.

Fabric pen. Carefully go over it and wipe off any excess. Still probably needs another coat in places.
Tip for other's considering: use a fabric pen that does not require heating (ironing) to fully set. That type will hold up to interior cleaning and rubbing against better since we can't iron our interiors. LoL.

Just wondering if there is something wrong with my rear differential.....again. strange thing happened today when going out the driveway. The RH rear tyre was on uneven ground, and slightly in the air. When I accelerated the wheel just spun and the LH rear didn't get any traction. I thought this was strange and reversed a bit to even the car up then drove off. As I got to the city car park I could hear a squeaking sound from the rear......is my diff rooted, anyone know. For those who don't know earlier this year I had an issue with the left hand rear and the differential had to be taken out and new bearings put in, since then I've never been 100% confident all was right.

A little touch added to the Mustang today, a brushed aluminum dead pedal cover.

Not an especially important addition, clearly Ford saved all of $5.00 per car by not fitting these at the factory.

After cleaning the bare plastic with IPA, the adhesion promoter is applied, and the trim piece is attached.

It's hard to capture in pictures how much this changes the look of the footwell.

I also have a couple of other additions on the way for this car, small touches that change a few things that have been on the "one day" list.
