#1. It doesnt matter what motor you have, the thread is discussing oil quality.
I agree with you completely except the above comment.

The OP only asked what brand we used. Not why or the quality of our choice.

Oil threads can only be looked at as a source of humor. And the folks that become the butt of it. :cwl:

I would obviously use amsoil for the same exact reasons ive already stated if I had a GT500...

Oil brand will not void your warranty, ask your dealer if you want.

Everyone knows FrogHide is the best extension cord known to man.
Wow. Thats a mighty pricey extension cord. Although the 12 guage cord should be good for 20 amps, but it says only 15.

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet…..
Since decades, no cars have end up in a junkyard because of engine failure due to poor lubrication
Therefore Amsoil do not offer any practical advantages to another oil
What is the point of using a oil that is 20% “better” if a “regular” oil is in fact so good that there is no engine failure due to poor lubrication
Amsoil is like snake oil, overpriced and offer no real life benefits
Furthermore their marketing techniques are based on a quasi pyramidal scheme
Racing oil.

No, the oil must meet the minimum spec as per Ford if you wish to keep your warranty intact. But that is not applicable to you because you have a Frankenstein with no warranty. As I and others have said, use whatever oil you want. Knock yourself out. Ive had a good chuckle over your source of info as to how you came to that decision, but who cares.

To be fair, I believe amsoil does have an oil that meets the spec for the GT350 and 500, but I don't believe that any other oil does, other than Motorcraft 5W50, of course. Use any oil that does not meet spec and that gives Ford a reason to void your engine warranty should there be a problem. Heck, you might as well use that 5W30 that you spoke of, lol.

Everyone seems to be having fun at your expense over this because as people have indicated, this oil argument is crap. And yet you just want to keep digging in. Use whatever you want, but when you quote Farmer Joe as your oil expert, well, I just have to laugh.

Have a good life

Probably some kind of "Lawyer Speak" liability BS since the cords are only offered with 15 AMP rated ends.....12 Gauge is definitely better for voltage drop, especially with the longer cords

To be completely honest I mix 5 qts 0w40 amsoil signature series with 5 Qts 5w50 amsoil signature series in the winter and also add 2 bottles of ceratec. I would probably do and recommend the same in a gt500 depending on the driving habits and climate.

Sure, why not...... That is if you want to void your warranty. Knock yourself out.

This is for "advanced users" those of us who modify our cars. Not applicable to you stock peasants.
Ok now that was too far. There is nothing peasant about a stock car, certainly not a gt500 that will retain its value a whole lot better than your 5.0

I humbly suggest you take that attitude and shove it.
