I just bought my ‘21 base GT and am building it myself. I will be building it into something ridiculous over the years, no intent to get rid of it ever. All that being said, so far I’ve done a Steeda short throw shifter and ‘stop the hop’ kit, Ford Performance exhaust and strut tower brace, and a bunch of aesthetic stuff. I’ll be doing the Ford Performance track handling pack next.

Catch Can, Steeda front swaybar and steeda camber plates all of this are must's for this car to handle better and be more reliable.

When you installed the tower brace did you also install the other braces that go with it? Also need the lower K brace if not installed.

The Euro spec cars have the KCow brace preinstalled but they lack the tower brace because of pedestrian safety laws.

Do you know whats really simple but what really makes me smile ? The black stuff in the middle of the wheels :like:

I went from this :

To this :

It might not look like a lot, but to my eye and when wondering around the car it makes a huge difference.

I know the black bits don’t suit everything and I know you have the FP caps, but I think your car would really suit black nuts :like:

The caps pop out from the back of the wheel and pony’s pop out from the back of the cap.

Degrease, scuff them up, etch prime and then satin black :

Hope that helps :like:

Let's not blame everything on pedestrian safety. The strut tower brace is available officially from Ford as an accessory if you want it, which goes to show it isn't actually illegal. Besides, Bullitts have it as standard.
A pedestrian will hit the bonnet, not whatever happens to be underneath it. Also, Euro Mustangs have a pyrotechnic device that lifts the bonnet in the event of the crash, precisely to protect pedestrians. There's no way a pedestrian's head could come in contact with the strut brace - or with any other thing under the bonnet for that matter.

But speaking of this, is a strut brace really necessary if there's a cowl brace in place? If the strut towers are already connected to each other, then what good would an extra connection be?

That's good to know. But still I wonder why that is. Isn't the cowl brace supposed to do the exact same thing that the tower brace is doing?

The cowl brace alone does more than a strut brace alone. But having both are better than just one because together they form a triangle.
