Mine is now usually about 3 degrees higher than outside air. Added the GT500 airbox that the other poster mentioned. Also, added some insulation:

I plan on going whipple over the fall.
Cool man, you'll enjoy the power. I really regretted doing the long tube's at first as I did them before adding power as well and it sure felt slower and way way to loud. Then on top of that reading everyone say they make crazy power without doing any of that makes me still regret them. I did like it better after adding the whipple, but it's still regrettably to obnoxious. I say it all the time - obnoxious. I've a c7 with an awe exhaust. I had a free flowing h-piped long tubed foxbody. I love(and loved) the sound of them both. The fox would set off the stupid alarms we all used to have, really loud, but the long tubed coyote is the only one that I think is to much. I mean 900+ whp with full oem exhaust that you can guarantee is still really loud but not wtf loud... I wish someone had stopped and smacked me as that's what it would of taken! Be safe and scare everyone!

Im hoping leaving stock axleback with the valve will be enough dampening to keep me from losing my mind with valve shut. Crazy loud was cool when I was 18, not so cool now. I also dont like the attention. I tend to speed and I don’t need every cop in a half mile radius hearing me coming.

But it is what it is. I want to ditch the cats and I’m gonna need the long tubes for the whipple. The one good thing about exhaust is that you can mess with it. Can always add bigger beefier resonators in the mid pipe area. I’m dying to get the whipple on. Gotten used to the power im at. Ready to scare myself with more.
