Went to the dealer for a SYNC3 update. AWFUL!

So I went to dealership to have my SYNC3 updated and when I sat back in the car, the original theme was replace with an awful blue and white squared shape theme. I went back inside just to be tell that it was the new theme by ford in the 2020 Mustang (I own a 2019).

So anyone knows if there's something to do to get back the old theme?

Your only option is to try "Night Mode" which is a darker blue palette.
You could revert back to the previous version of Sync (not the best idea) or program the APIM to use the dark Lincoln theme with Forscan.

Yeah, I've seen the Lincoln option but I don't have a Forscan. Even in night mode, it gives me a full blue screen. Not the tone that I prefer.

I hear ya. Ford must have hired a bunch of flunky graphic designers to create these themes.

Forscan is free BTW. The only thing you need to buy is the ODBII interface.

It's exactly what I have now. The Ford tech told me that he could put the old version back but I had black screens sometimes. Which is why I'll try this version. I hope that I'llget use to it.

There is still a day and night theme in v3.4 and you can force it to remain in one or other.

If you go back to the old theme (v3.3) you will never be able to update it.

If you are on 3.0 there is no official way to v3.4 for you anyway. It can be done unofficially but you will never be offered it by Ford. Have to say your screen shot looks very similat to V3.4 night mode anyway

Certainly understand how you feel but 3.4 came out six months ago. You have been a member since 2019. There have been a number of threads on Sync 3.4, some specifically about the color palette. A little homework would have saved you time and aggravation. Just a little tip for the future. Also, if you really hate it that much, get Forscan and change it.
