Went on the Dyno today

Pro Dyno was doing pulls at Mustang Week. Weather was horrible. DA was around 2400ish according to drag times. I expected better but I know every dyno reads differently. Hoping to get to the track this Friday so that will really tell the tale of course. Auto, Full exhaust, Air Raid intake, GT350 IM, Lund tuned.

What's the drive train loss on these cars with an auto? 18% or so? If so that puts you at 472hp crank ... not too shabby.

It only made 399 at the wheels with those mods? Don't they pull 387 or so stock? That manifold alone should have put you over 399 from what I've seen.

dont listen to the dyno queen boys take it to the track and compare to other 5.0s. i smoked an s197 with similar mods and boss intake.

Dyno numbers are interesting but it's just a tuning tool. I just sold a Lightning that only made 402rwhp on my tuners dyno but it ran door to door with a local truck that made 439 rwhp tuned at Pro Dyno. Track times will tell the true story.

399 at the wheels and factor in 15% drive train loss you're at about 470 to the crank. Not bad at all..

Don't disregard dyno's.. it's good to use as a baseline..

The track is the ultimate test but driver mod, DA plays a HUGE roll as well. Listen to your butt dyno as well lol.

The strange thing is, you should have gotten a bit more torque.. I know the IM adds HP on the top end but the Lund tune should have gave you 10-20 HP..

Thanks all. I'm definitely a little confused by the results. We'll see come Friday at Capitol. I'll be logging and sending to Lund. It better run in the 11s. Going to pick up injectors so I can run e85.

There is a Sunoco on Furnace Branch rd in Glen Burnie that sells all sorts of Race gas in the 5 Gallon Drums. I won't be running at all the time. Just for track days.

Yeah Ive bought race gas from that Sunoco a while back for my 12' GT.

It looks like they may have pump e85 in Laurel and Annapolis.

when i was out in wash dc on active duty id go up to wisconsin ave to get e85. only e85 station in the beltway close to me when i was living in alexandria.

worth running e85 though forsure. hell it was worth 60whp on a supercharged cammed 3800 grand prix i had with a 2.8 pulley.

cant wait 2017 ill be back out in the wash dc area.

MIR and capitol raceway were good times cant wait to go back!

Wish I knew. It sure as shit feels faster than that dyno reflects.

Dyno must be a heart breaker. You should easily be at 430-440whp on 93. E85 and you should see 450-460. Like you said, not all dynos read the same. The logs will tell the story.
