It was bound to happen sometime. I traded in my 2018 Roush Phase II Supercharged GT (Kona Blue, manual) with 6,400 miles on it for a new 2021 Shelby GT500. While it does not have the CF track pack (which is OK - I have the 350R), the GT500 does have the optional handling package. Bringing her home tomorrow afternoon. If I have time, I'll snap a pic of the GT500 next to the GT350R. I need to do some reading to understand everything that is included in the handling package.

Won't be able to get the 500 officially broken in this year, as cars will be stored for the long OH winter in about a month or so. SO maybe get 100 miles on before winter storage.

Very nice. I always dismissed that color until I saw it in person at the track attack. Pics donā€˜t do it any justice in my opinion.

Track Attack is one benefit I am looking forward to attending with the purchase of a new 2021 GT500. I purchased my 2020 GT350R used and was not eligible to attend Track Attack.

Track attack is cool. I went when I bought my GT350R. The first day being in the Shelby was a blast. Day 2 in their race prepped GTs was not as fun. Lots of track time, but it would be nice to do multiple days in the car you bought. When I go for the GT500 school, I will only be doing one day.

Also, they were so limited in space that my wife couldnt attend as a driver. She is like - if I canā€™t drive on the track - I ainā€™t going.

I would expect better availability for 2022 track attach dates. But we shall see. I am definitely going and would like my wife to go. She is a car geek too and she drives reasonably well, but has never tracked a car.

Here's one.

Nice combo. The best of both worlds.

The problem is deciding which one to drive. I always lean towards the CFTP

Got the 500 all wiped down and shined this afternoon. I would not let the dealer touch it. It literally went from showroom to the garage; purchased with 7 miles on it. Took one brief drive yesterday afternoon. Weather looks good for next week so we will start some break-in miles.
