Two months ago I had a serious wreck that totaled my 2015 GT. I ordered that car one day short of 8 years to the day the wreck occurred. It was the Mustang that I had invested thousands into, and had planned to never let her go. Very thankful that she did what she was designed to do - save my life. I was very fortunate to have walked away.
It took a few weeks, but I eventually decided that I was going to need to replace her. This wasn't something that I was too certain of in the days following the accident. The accident happened about one month after the order banks for the 2023 models closed, and I had already decided that a 2024 wasn't to my liking. So, the search began. I knew that I had to have the 401A package, that I wanted to go 10R80 this time after my previous two Mustangs were manuals, and narrowed my color choices down to black or grabber blue. With some other options that I knew I needed to have (3.55 gears, B&O sound system, nite package), I was able to find a few black ones within a few hours of home, but only located two grabber blue ones - each of them 7+ hours from home. After seeing the midnight blue with grabber blue stitching interior package, I knew that was another requirement if I was going to get a grabber blue one this time. One sold before I could get a deal done, and the other had just been built and was in transport to the dealership. While I won't go into details in this post, it was quite the challenge to finalize the deal on the only other grabber blue Mustang I could find that met all of my requirements. From the time of my deposit, to delivery of the vehicle, took almost one month.
Here's to making new memories and getting back to doing all the things I enjoy when it comes to making my Mustang truly mine!
