so, when the car is off the rear turn signal works fine, but when the car is running the right turn signal is out of sync with the 3 lights in the housing, sometimes the outer light is brighter than the rest? a week ago I charging up the battery and did not disconnecting it from the car, did I mesh something up? I Tried resetting the computer and disconnecting the battery.

I don't have help for the signal problem. But I'd be very surprised if charging the battery, connected or not, caused any damage.

You’ve likely got a damaged light, when you say “out of sync” what does that mean?

so when i say out of sync, I mean the middle light is late to turn on. so the 3 lights go like this 1-3-2, instead of 1-2-3. also sometimes the 3 light is just brighter for some reason

Look for corrosion in the connectors, seems like an intermittent bad connection.

Cobra Jet thanks for posting this thread. I'm going to check tomorrow if I have 12 volt or more at the tail light house with the car running and off. Probably just need a housing just want to make sure be i spend the money.

I read this could be a sign of a bad bcm? I just found out there's a module in the truck for the tail lights I believe? Anyone know more about this module FR3Z-13C788-D, can I just order one, or does it have to be program?

I had a similar symptom on my 2016 car.

IIRC there is an electronics board in the tail light itself which becomes intermittent. There might be a TSB about it. @Cobra Jet is the Oracle on such things.
Thanks GTP!

LOL - sometimes I can’t find my own posts considering the years of material I’ve put on here…

Here’s the SSM - but this was from a while ago, still may apply:

Also to note:
I know there’s a board in each taillight housing and the BCM does have some type of controlling mechanism.

This thread may help you out, as I have never messed with Forscan (yet). The post is from a guy in Switzerland, but it sheds some really good info on the BCM and tail wiring.

This thread is from a guy in Germany, but the responses shed more light on the association of the taillight to the BCM.
