Also, you can turn the fittings. Just be gentle. That's how I got mine to look like the pic in the instructions.

Mine looked the same no matter which way the ends were installed. Run the engine once and the heat fixes it.

This is what I did when I noticed the kink. A simple rotation fixed it.

No problem here. You need to find right angle by rotating ends around

I'm seriously considering doing this upgrade. So I can pretend that I know what I am doing help me out with a little info: is the Ford version or the JLT seperator recommended? I need only the passenger side, right? Is this a straight forward installation or should I have a tech install it for me?

@20ducks , I have the JLT's. Both sides. Prolly overkill as the passenger side gets the most oil. If I were to it again, I'd only buy the passenger side. Just my .02

I have the Ford passenger side unit and it is very easy to install yourself. Takes 15 minutes

The pass side on mine never has any oil. The other one will collect oil, poss depending on how long it runs at high revs. I think most blow by is at high revs. It’s good to get that oil out or it would normally be fed back in for combustion, which is not.

Also, if you tried to force it on and off a few times, make sure to chk the o-rings are still seated in the connector. If the are not in position or even missing you will need to get a new one. I had an issue with that.

I have Ford performance oil catch cans on both sides. Only passenger collecting oil. IMO JLT is more functional and easier to remove oil from the can. Just unscrew the can. With Ford catch cans it's a little more inconvenience and more steps/work need to be done to remove the oil. Not a big deal though. It come down to what is your preferences, looking original or more functional.
