Weird crunched up hose Ford Oil Seperator

...anyone else have the passenger side Ford Performance oil separator and find that to get it installed, the upper hose goes on "crushed"? Could I have the wrong upper hose out of the box, or is this just how they are?

Take it off, flip it end for end and try it that way. I Have mine with the right-angle connector on the separator body and it fits without any kinking of the hose.

Looks like mine is FR3V-6K817-CA

Mine looked the same way until I flipped the ends around. Right angle end on the canister and other end on the engine.

Then I'll flip it, but weird as even the Ford videos show it with goose neck end towards the intake.

Weird... The ones I got were rigid piping without out any flex section like that. I will say with the rigid it was a challenge on a few places to get routed and connected.

My guess is they want one part to fit it all, F150, you name it. Same as plumbing....flex pipe fits all

Do you have a picture further back (op)? But just like everyone else, it appears to be backward. Mine is the same as 16 Magnetic.

Just rotate the ends up and down to eliminate the kink.

I was told that but it just wants to collapse and not bounce back out. Maybe once the flex hose gets bent it won't cooperate anymore

Put it in some boiling water to soften it then reshape it back till cool.
