My base 2016 weighed in at 369X. P51s, FP Borla exhaust and 1/4tank fuel.

Full tank I can see it being close If not under ford’s curb of 3760.

What dou think is possible if you really went crazy and removed everything absolutely not needed.

That's fantastic. It looks like a bunch of carbon body panels, Anderson Composites obviously. Brakes? No AC? Do you mind going into a bit of detail regarding the weight reduction?

Thanks!

Obviously not apples to apples, but in my E36 (a much smaller and older car), I was able to pull out ~450 lbs of stuff before I added back ~180 lbs of roll cage. Component weights really add up: insulation, heater system/ heater box, seats, etc. Now, the GT350 has pretty light Recaro seats, the electronics/ audio package and AC are quite light, the carpet is thin, but I bet there's a lot of sound deadening under all that stuff.

I am having so much fun with my R on track that I'm dragging my feet on finishing the E36 refresh. I'm tempted to find another GT350 to strip out and go full Honeybadger on, but my wallet is giving me the stink-eye. But man, a 3300-lb GT350 is a very tempting thought.

I'm hoping to be sub 3000 within a year or so and eventually want to see if I can get down to 3000lbs when going to the extreme. I can't even imagine this car with 550-600whp and only weighing 3000lbs. Would be a blast.

Full honey badger is a very good path :) The best part about this car is the motor. Might as well build the car around it!

Sure, I hope these attachments work. The $$/lbs ratio spikes around the 3600lbs mark.

That seat looks like it would prevent almost ANY body movement. That should have been my first mod, 2 freaking years ago!!
