We going to see a s550 Mustang parts/suppliers diagram like this? (C7 Corvette)

Saw they posted this up over on a C7 Corvette forum with a breakdown of all the parts and suppliers for the C7's components.

Has anyone seen something like this for the s197 and when do you think we'll see something like thsi for the s550 if at all?

Love seeing stuff like that but we haven't even gotten a glimpse as the actual body yet so it'll be a while before we see anything like this.

But if any suppliers would like to speak up and post here letting us know what parts they're supplying we can start a diagram!

I thnk we'll see that supplier list look smaller and more familiar with the other Ford cars.

Supplier lists are being consolidated along with the global platforms. Might lend some credibility to those recent rumors about shared suspension suppliers with Fusion/Mustang.

"Ford Motor Co. appears to be further along in its consolidation drive. Birgit Behrendt, the company's vice president of purchasing operations, said Tuesday that the company currently has 1,150 suppliers, and eventually will winnow that number down to 750.

Ford's 104 Tier One suppliers will get more Ford business -- and presumably more profits -- under the company's program for preferred suppliers, dubbed the Aligned Business Framework.
"It is a positive approach," Behrendt said. "The prior approach certainly wasn't working for us, and it wasn't working for our suppliers. There is nothing wrong with being a Tier Two supplier."

That's pretty cool. Maybe Ford should look into these for this Mustang and the MKZ with the sliding class roof instead of the rubber antenna on the rear fender.

Definitely a much more subtle place to place antennas. But, reception would be an issue if the body is metal. Corvettes have fiberglass bodies so I guess that makes this possible.

Here is one for 2010. Obviously there would be changes not just for 15 but from 13-14 too. As others have said it will probably be a much smaller supplier list when compared across all Ford vehicles and we could see some similar names with the Fusion and MKZ.
