Can I run ms109 on my gt350?
No, you cannot run straight MS 109 in your car. How do I know? Because, I talked to VP fuels directly about their products and they said MS 103 is what I should run, nothing higher. Or you could run the equivalent Sunoco product. I run either one - currently running the MS 103 but have run the Sunoco. Power wise, VP told me to expect 3% to 4% increase.

My car, with JLT intake, and excellent tune from one of the better tuners in the country, running MS 103 puts out around 485 on several dyno runs, at two different dynos - up about 40 h/p over what it ran without the tune, intake (worth about 9 h/p) and MS 103. More torque and H/p also lower down RPMs. Not earthshaking, but quite noticeable. No exhaust mods.

Here, the race shop sells the Sunoco fuel, a Subaru performance oriented shop sells the MS 103.

Since I drive the car only 250 or so miles a month average, fuel cost does not bother me. I doubt it will have more than 3500 miles on it by the time it gets replaced...

I run Rebel 100 unleaded exclusivly in my 18 R here in Vegas since the car is my weekend toy I can justify the cost of $8.00 a gallon. I think running this fuel allows the vehicle to make full advertised power and maybe a hp or two more. But i think the real advantage is the car does not pull as much timing in the hot weather and the car always feels like it wants to run hard.

I did not see any difference in trap speed comparing 93 vs race gas (MS109 or VP 100)on the stock tune .
Only saw 2-3 mph gain with flex tune/E85.

Is the VP100 only available in those 5 gal cans, or can you get that from a pump at a dealer?

You can get in 15 gallon or 55 gallon drums also. I've heard of it being at VP Pumps before, but good luck finding it at one of their stations. You may be able to find one that has it at the pump on a search.

These horsepower increases, I believe, are going to be from the fuel being oxygenated and not simply due to an increase of knock resistance.

The VP street blaze is oxygenated so it should make more power.

Do it and report back.

Well, filled it up today with MS100. Definitely feels stronger with this fuel. Butt dyno says so. Nothing radical, but I do notice a difference. Better than regular ole 93 pump gas. Anybody running MS103 in their 350?

Going full unleaded to save your cats. 100% alcohol free Gulf Mach 100 or 105 no alcohol to fudge with the octane numbers if you don't have a tune for your car. My car was hauling the mail in 100 degree weather at Battle Creek Speedfest last July.
