I was doing powershifting back in 2016 with my PP2 tune. Nice to see they finally brought that to the OEM tune.

I can really appreciate the ingenious technology and the ability to really improve laps times on a track that the MACH1 uses, but I kinda enjoy my Neanderthal Shelby that makes me do all the work myself.
This car is going to be impressive on a track...!!!!
I can't wait to see a GT350 vs. MACH1 track comparison... you know somebody is going to do it!
I'm impressed....!

Update: yeay its back up...
wow, it's the official Ford Australia page? You'd think that after FB cut Australia off over a legal spat and blocked all Australian news pages, the Aussies would have jettisoned FB enmass. Or at least have cut the power and fiber to the datacenters and trucked in some cattle and 'roos to tour and explore modern datacenter design as cowboys drove the herds to their new grazing grounds.

No lift shift as implemented in the power pack 2 kit is a disaster, a damn fine way to dump your car. No lift 4-5 shift at red line on a dry track breaks the ass end loose at over 100 mph. That's right, lots of wheelspin with 200TW tires in 5th gear. Not something I would advise using. Perhaps they've refined it so it doesn't have that nastiness, but if not I'd be cautious using it.

According to Ford authority the Mach 1 Handling Package will be available with rear seat delete for serious trackers. Woohoo ! The Mach 1 will give the GT350 Mustang drivers fits.

This is an Aussie Spec Mach 1. We don’t get the 3:73 rear diff ratio, we only get the 3:55. So US cars will have a lower speed at the top of 2nd.

Actually, 3:55 instead of 3:73 means a few more MPH per rev on the engine. Differential Gear Ratio determines the number of times the drive shaft (or pinion) will rotate for each turn of the wheels (or ring gear). So if you have a 3.73:1 gear ratio the drive shaft turns 3.73 times for every turn of the wheel vs only 3.55 turns on a 3:55:1 , so a few more mph at the top of 2nd for the 3.55...

Cool video, keeping in mind that the car is intended to do well on a road course the long 2nd gear makes perfect sense. It means you can actually use it out of slow corners instead of being forced to use 3rd which gets a bit tall for slow corners which are typically in the 45-55 mph range.

Being in 2nd out of a 50mph corner would have that Coyote right in the meat of the power band / just the ticket to blast out of the corner and leave those annoying Camaros and Bimmers in your wake. Of course if you don't like that just get a 3:73 or 4:10. It's a Mustang after all. It's an easy and cheap mod, even the ECU is all ready to account the different gearing, all you need to do is select the proper gear ratio in a tune. It's all there waiting for ya.
