Recently I did the trunk area and some work on the rear seats area and installed sound insulation. This 2 part video takes you through the journey.
I will eventually do a 3rd part of me driving around and compare the decibel readings using my dashcam footage and a sound meter I have. Unfortunately, the roads are too wet and salty at the moment and the previous readings I have taken were on dry roads.
If someone is thinking of doing this, it will give you a very good idea of how much work is involved and if its worth it for you.
