You are on to something here, the engine sounds much different than the "other" mustang in the video aka gt350

It revs high yes, but then again with the proper internals, you could get high RPMs on a CPC motor and that second car sounds like it likes the lower RPMs most of the time. Ford could have been testing two different applications as well to see which one was better for the GT350: a 5.2 FPC and a 5.2 CPC. Take a look at these videos of a Coyote going all the way up to 9000 RPM. It can go all the way up there, that does not mean Ford will.

NOTE: None of my findings mean anything may/is true. This is all theory and what I think according to my findings.

Another thing to look at, is the front end in the second round of spy shots. Look at how the narrower grill and lower fascia are similar if you look closely. Pill posted this in the GT500 thread with this caption.

Now THERE'S a refreshed front end I would like, and what Ford should've done similar to.

    I agree.
I like that as well. Much better than the '18 refresh in my opinion.

GT350 5.2 to young and lacking time to be replacement for the GT500. And, from the rear at light throttle to moderate of my former, stock 13' GT500 and from the side or even cruising, you'd never know it was supercharged. The 5.8 Trinity made suck intoxicating noises. This is no clue on the engine. Although I know there are thousands of new Trinity 5.8's on shelves in crates in Dearborn.. These pics do show small bulges above front wheel fenders too. This maybe the rumored Mach 1 or the PP2 for the 18' GT. It sits much lower too.

Ford never has and won't use the same engine and displacement for their ultimate straightline bruiser that is already in the ONLY genuine Shelby, the 350.... . And now it'll at least, finally handle with the big dawgs.

Looks like special test tires. Def not Michelin Pilot Super Sports, or Sport 4S., just Pilot Sport. Those exhaust tips are far apart too.

I just we could get another base LX 5.0 striped of lots of the pwr equipment, useless back seats, and a fuel tank of 18-19 gals, under 3600 lbs. I'm thinking of buying another 87-89 LX sedan, dropping a new 5.0 in it. Note: that's five point zero, not five point O... one is a number, the other in the alphabet.

An stripped 5.O LX would be a very good Special Edition to close out MY 2017. I would be in.

you don't see that anymore because the tech does not add much weight, nor does it effectively cost much more. How many new cars can you get today with crank windows and manual locks? I do not not of any....
