no child-suffocation warning on the bags! How will we stop another senseless death?

Also the curvature of the rain tray seems rather more than the vent.

just the one hood pin?
Yep. That I am sure they can mail to me. No big deal. The dents and sanding damage to the hood are what I'm more concerned about.

As for the rain tray, that is on the underside so not super concerned about that. Besides, it'll stick in place once it's mounted. We don't have California weather up here so I don't need to roll with it off; I also don't have a GT500 front fascia (yet?) so don't need to worry about allowing the air flow out.

And so the other shoe drops...

Hello Michael,

I apologize as I have been misinformed. After speaking with my specialist they indicated that after the hood is primed and prepped those minor imperfections will no longer be noticeable. I apologize for the confusion and misunderstanding. Our specialist also advised taking this item to another shop for the prep and installation as they fear you are being overcharged. Once again I do apologize for the confusion as After one of our technicians reviewed the images you provided they have determined there is nothing wrong with the hood. Any imperfections or residues from the hood when it was manufactured will be gone by properly prepping and painting the hood.

Unfortunately, we would not be able to cover any cost, since there is nothing wrong with the hood. We highly recommend going to another shop since the prep and painting should range anywhere between $300-$400 at most.

Should You have any further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to let us know.
I had to send them the pictures AGAIN and point some things out.

I would dare them to find an outfit in California that can do that for that price. They are delusional.

Also the underside looks plenty fine. It's only the top face dings that matter. Spending a little time with Delux "Perfect Plastic Putty" should take care of it, no?

I'm going to drive to the Bodyshop tomorrow at lunch most likely or at the very least call him and tell him to go ahead and prep it if I have to pay for it then so be it. It'll be the last time I deal with Vicrez though.

Make the top perfect. I can always put a GT500 hood liner (If it will fit) on the underside. I actually have a thread asking if one of those will fit LOL

I’m a little dumbfounded at the gall of that company saying there’s nothing wrong with the hood! OMG! I would hate to see something they felt had problems!

Way I see it, sell it and try to recoup some money. Or get it prepped and painted and forget about the extra money it took.

But yea, their idea and my idea of something perfect is quite different. So for future customers, have a look and decide if you’re comfortable with the obvious quality and workmanship of their products and their views of such products before deciding to support them or not.

Stopped by the bodyshop today for a paint match card session.

Hard to see because paint changes with contour and also the sky was about to open up and dump holy hell on Toronto area so he said wait until a sunny day and check it.

Thoughts?

That last one bugs me a tad but he said the contours affect the paint brightness and also that's a paper card and not actual metal. They said this was the only variant of that colour that is out there G7 is' marked as?
