It’s the part that sits on the hood. Has slight angle to em. The tape was maybe 1/2” wide. Was all I had at home but was thinner and allowed the for pins to sit lower. Maybe wait n decide after your hood is done.

It's coming along!!!! The bodyshop got the underside painted and was going to paint the top on Friday but when they were prepping they discovered another dent / ripple that they had to smooth out and then re-prep and prime.

maybe it's just me but I'm cringing at the lack of a controlled air space for "professional" paint work...
I wondered the same thing. But that's not the paint booth.

Hi All,

I have been looking for a GT500 hood that is closer to the GT500 style for a bit now. I've seen the IKON one, and I really liked it, but it is currently unavailable. The Vicrez one looked like it was the same design, but the photo used on the website is of the 2015-2017 hood installed on a 2018, so it doesn't fit properly. This made me really apprehensive about buying the Vicrez hood.

Well, over the weekend they started posting customer photos and it was everything I had hoped it would be. So this afternoon I purchased my new hood. I will upload photos of the process here in case anyone is curious to see it.

I will also attach photos of the Vicrez customer photos here that I have found. :)

So much excite!!! That thing looks like butter! They were able to get out all the damage/dents/dings suffered during shipping. It cost me a grand but First World problems, right?

Today or tomorrow they spray the louvres and install them into the hood. Looks like next Tuesday I'll drop off for the GT500 hood and GT500 spoiler install then I'll just add the flap when I get her home.

Well, after several months the hood has been repaired, painted and assembled. Ready for installation on the car.

She goes into the shop tomorrow for the installation of the hood and the FP GT500 spoiler. Then I need to book the installation of the Big Worm stripes and the PPF hood, bumper and A-Pillars as well as ceramic everything else.

They didn't send me pics today though. I think they are making me drool on purpose!!!

Yes tomorrow morning is perfect.

Scoop & hood are ready to go, I will see you in the morning tomorrow.

the first rule of price gouging is to whet the apatite to the point of uncontrolled lust. :)

They already gave me estimates based on the visual inspection. I always get quotes before I move on something as this is something I do for my day job too LOL
