Had a Velossa Big Mouth fitted today @ DreamScience in Hull.

Top lads, top work - ive found a home for my car when it needs work in the UK.

As well as supplying the Velossa, they can fit it too (if required) - including removing the honeycomb grille on the right hand side. Looks spot on.

Whilst the bumper was off we also slotted in a US lower grille, a massive improvement over the standard one.

So anyone within driving distance of Hull, I can definitely recommend DreamScience as a decent spot to have your car taken care of... and the Velossa is a cool looking thing, and should help manage the IATs too :)

Thanks, Hull not too far from me so might give these guys a shout in future. Do the other Mustangs outside belong to them?

Cool. Did they supply the lower grille or did you get that elsewhere- can't see any mention on their website:shrug:

I'll have finished a replica of my grills (top and bottom) soon if you're looking to replace yours... ;)

It won't have the tribar on but aside from that will be identical.

I wish I'd fitted one of these Bigmouths when I did my grills as I now can't be arsed to go through the whole process again to fit such a small part even though it's a very good mod to have.

Keep us posted on your opinion of it kapiteinlangzaam

I got the lower grille elsewhere, but they were V happy to install for me (for a minimal fee).

Talking to the lads they have a lot of interesting stuff in development. Hellion Twin turbos will soon be in all our future:)

Have done 120 miles with the car today - along the M62 and back and around Leeds City Centre.

Bear in mind I am running a PMAS CAI which is more susceptible to under-bonnet heat soak.

On the motorway my IATs are now ambient +1-2C, whereas pre Velossa they were +3-4C

Stopped in traffic the IATs eventually rise to the levels of pre-Velossa (ambient +30C), but the big and important difference is that they fall much more quickly with any kind of movement. If you are in stop-start traffic this also means that on average the IATs are lower, as the temps rise on average much more slowly due to the better cooling.

My next task is to connect the rear part of the Velossa to the snorkel on the PMAS air-box, and then heat proof the airbox and intake pipe with either silver or gold foil.

If you are running an aftermarket CAI this is a VERY worthwhile mod IMO.

Don't bother heatproofing the box and tube. Makes zero difference. If anything it actually increased my IAT by a degree.

Attaching the box up to the grill with a 350 snorkel is worthwhile though.

Pics in mine and Gibbo's threads.

Cool, thanks.

Dont suppose you know a place to buy a 350 snorkel do you?

Was that snorkel the bit that involved cutting into the bottom of the airbox with a pipe up from below? I saw it, but was it strictly necessary?

IIRC JDM in the States do them.

About £35 and the same again in postage unless you can get it sent some other way.
Found it on JDM (thanks).

The robbing gits want $135/149 for postage.

LOLtastic...
