Vegas casinos (MGM anyway) are sending out promotions every day and so long as we book by January 15th, looks like I can get 2 comp (free) days at Mandalay Bay. Plus MyVegas points for a few show tickets + flight points from a CC - looks like a "cheap" trip. (cheap, hahaha. haha. ha) So... looks like we're doing Vegas again, this year... (will be our 5th trip in 8 years? got married there, so...)

Earlier this year (May vacation) I did this - https://exoticdrivingexperiences.com/collections/exotic-car-driving-tours

And that was really, really, fun - 2.5 hours about $650 (wife was a non driving passenger) Drove a Ferarri, McLaren and Corvette Z06. They told me we'd have a Lamborghini for the day and when they called the night before to confirm the reservation, we didn't get one (someone rented it) so I was really disappointed. Still fun for sure - the McLaren is an amazing car - but... unicorn...

Moving on...

Found this searching just now.

https://speedvegas.com/en/driving-experience-packages/ferrari-lamborghini-supercar-experience/173

Honestly (and, sorry) have never been a fan of Ferarri - their dicks, lol...

But then there is this -

https://speedvegas.com/en/lamborghini-huracan/driving-experience-las-vegas/2

20 laps - $1264

At $1264 - do I just say f' it and just rent one for the day for a grand and change?

https://exoticdrivingexperiences.com/pages/rentals/

If I rented one for the day, I'll have to plan some kind of road trip or something - go see the hoover dam or something just to get some road time and not just drive it from casino to casino.

This is of course knowing I'll rent a convertible for the week (7 days 6 nights is our usual trip) - I already drive a Mustang now, so will probably rent a Camaro again just to mix it up a bit or see if they have something else. The wife doesn't pack lightly so need some trunk / back seat space.

Anyone else 1 - frequent vegas, 2 - do these driving experiences and 3 - seeing something else I'm not seeing?

1) I go to Vegas at least once a year...I wouldn’t say that I “do” Vegas but I’ve driven there quite a bit.
2) Almost did an auto cross experience in a Lambo but after reading about $100s of dollars of extra insurance I would need just in case I accidentally went 10rpm over the limit or touched a cone, I decided against it. (Also, it was raining that day)
3) The one thing I would say about the 20 lap experience vs renting one, is that you aren’t really going to be able to enjoy/experience what the car is capable of if you just rent one. Even if you go on a short road trip, you’re not going to be able to ‘safely’ or legally let loose.

We have at least one guy who works at speedvegas on the boards, maybe he can give you some more information about that experience.
