I have had quite an adventure trying to get the right sound levels and noise in my blown auto 5.0. Since I was 16 I have always had the loudest, non N/A, meanest sounding stangs. However being 39 and living in a nicer area my goals with this car have changed. At 1st I tried to just be loud, Borla Atak cat back..mean sounding but yikes to loud for me. Next up FRPP Sport catback, probably my favorite if I was to stay really loud, but in the end too loud inside and out for me. Next I tried a set of Borla Touring from a friend that let me try before buying. Then back to the FRPP sport with Borla resonantor, Sounded too quiet but a ton of humming inside that gave me a headache. Next back to stock and Roush Axle Backs, Almost as loud as the FRPP Sport but more interior humming than anything I have had on the car to date. Maybe these systems are designed for Manuals....? So a few weeks ago I went to drive the same friends car that has the Varex X-force adjustable valve catback. Finally the exact levels I have been looking for. After the forum 6% off discount I'm into the exhaust for $ 1268.15. I figured after trying all the others, used I might add, this was a bargain for what it actually is going to do for me. The install is Monday so I'll try to get some under car pics and some sound clips loaded up as there is a major lack of those for people possibly looking to add this system. All I can say is that it's dead silent in the cabin with the valves closed, and a slight rumble inside with them opened. Outside same story, IMO quieter than stock outside with valves closed, and a nice healthy Touring type growl outside with them opened.
