I am currently(just bought yesterday) on the factory 17s. I am looking 19s and have a question or two about the V6 performance with wider rims. Although I am mostly interested in looks and will not be tracking or racing, I do not want to degrade performance.

With wider wheels/tires is acceleration affected?(more rolling resistance?)

Mileage?

How wide has anyone gone?

What other differences could be expected?

Thanks!

Running 20x10 with 275/35/20 all around lowered on sportline springs. Looks killer and it handles great on canyons. In terms of straight line acceleration I don't have any actual numbers to back this up but I didn't feel any negative effect from my setup. Also keep in mind the weight and construction of the wheel is what you need to worry about not really the width, if you want a light weight and nice wheel you want to go with a forged wheel, that depends on your budget however. Hit up Paul from N4SM on here, he does a majority of the wheel and tire setups for the people on here. Also you should probably move this to the wheel and tire section, will get more help there.

Just look out for the wheel weight...and dont get tires with a diameter bigger than stock and youll be ok

You can do alot of things on the vehicle without a issue, it all depends on the style and what price range you want to go with.

That being said there are wheels in every style and size and width and finish.

So what I normally like to do is ask how do you image your ride? wide with deep concave and good size tires?
