Hello,

So I see used GT350's coming down in price, dipping into the high 30's and low 40's now.

This is tempting. I have a 2016 GT in pristine condition (just cracked 10K miles), which will be paid off later this year.

I told myself I would not trade it, especially since it still feels new after 5 years and since I took such great care but trading in on a GT350 feels very tempting. With my low miles I would think I could possibly easily move into a GT350.

But my biggest concern would be, which year is a decent year to get? Do the 2017's have issues?

Is it safer to get 2018 and up?

Right now, I am just pondering. I really love my Mustang but man having a Shelby would be something else.

Thanks

They definitely are, especially the 16/17's. I understand your temptation. I gave in back in December and traded in my '15 GTPP for a CPO '18 GT350 after owning it for 4 years.

Zero regrets whatsoever. I couldn't be happier. I say take the plunge! Try and find a CPO if you can for the added peace of mind!

I'm also looking at a used 18 GT350 for a daily. I know it may not be the gen 2 motor. But just in case, how do I check again if the motor is different? KA?

In every model year built most cars do great. Pretty much every year has some cars with a problem or two. Get the color, options and price you want and put a warranty on it that covers you. Your good to go.

a few options to ponder
#1street value would be higher than trade in value sell it privately
#2 not upside down on the loan take it to carmax and get cashed out
#3 take carmax offer to dealer that has potential gt350 you want and have them beat it
There are plenty of used 350's out there don't buy one the same day unless it is super clean and exactly what you want. if you are not happy with it on the spot you will not be happy with it later I.e wrong color but has recaros...... right color but has recaros {bigger guys find them uncomfortable}
wrong color but has heated/cooled seats....... right color right seats but missing convenience package

I just saw a 2020 GT350 and it had the nasty shark fin on top. Are all 2020's like this?

Can that fin be swapped for the mole? I'm not saying it is a deal breaker but dang it hurts.

4k off my 19 back in October. I would be looking for atleast 7k off now. We are well into my 2020. That being said with this being the final year for production having the latest model 19 & 20 updates should be considered.
