To be fair, I doubt if the standard GT brakes are any different in terms of performance, once fitted with good pads and 2022+ discs. The pad clamping forces are the same for all of Ford's Mustang brake configurations (past base Eco) A greater number of pistons will general provide better pad wear, but it doesn't massively affect stopping power.The craziest part is the single piston rear/6 piston PP front setups are proven equal to the GT350R performance maybe better in some configurations. If performance metrics of the 350R are what the op is after, that may be the ticket. 100% agree the single piston rear caliper is not flattering at all but apparently very effective.
Changing the rear caliper will be more for aesthetics than any other reason.
