Exactly what I was saying. For example the front fenders now encompass the headlights whereas the 991 didn’t. That right there is a huge new part.

    Agree

You are comparing apples to oranges. They make a 918, Cayman, Panamera, Cayenne, Macan…. Suggesting that 911s only carry on the 911 DNA/look because people are old or don't want to change is pretty narrow-minded and suggests that you just don't get it. Great, Porsche isn't for you but don't wrangle every other car enthusiast into your rant by suggesting everyone feels like you do. Porsche knows what they are doing..but again, maybe you can write them and set the tone for the new 911?

If the 500 turns out to be a turd, I guess I'm getting a frog with a wing on the back.

Hmm. If you have the means I would go Porsche man.

If I had the means I know without a doubt a GT3 manual would be in the garage.

I cant imagine the 500 turning out lame.

It’s been extremely late and I assume it’s to ensure that it is special.

It won’t be a turd. Although it may turn it’s competition into its poops after it eats them up at a road course or drag strip.

I'd get a GT3 RS waaaaaaay before I'd consider a GT500, and LOL at the "experts" here whom assert that Porsche is making a mistake by retaining the classic styling. As well as comparing it to an SVJ which is well over double the price.

Again, lets see what the 500 brings. I will say this..... I am amazed how the lowly GT350R hangs with the likes of the GT3 each year I drive Daytona. I'll throw some videos up soon. Its not all about the nameplate to me. I've always been a Ford guy and for the bang for the buck, Ford is hard to beat. Now add the potential GT500 factor and it could be a game changer.

Lets wait and see. Does anyone have any patience? 3 weeks folks and its shit or get off the pot time.

Until then, speculate all you want. It doesn't mean anything until we know what the 500 is, as opposed to what you all speculate.

It does. Really shows the potential of design teams with a bit of freedom.

And here you compare the Porsche which is way more expensive to the ford..

Plus don’t even know what the 500 can do. Nor have you seen a clear look at it. But ok...

To be fair, I’m confident a GT3RS will beat a GT500 in every metric as long as the 500 is on stock rubber not a drag slick.

A stock RS can do [email protected]! That’s insane.

If the 500 can do 129 in the quarter, that’s blistering. Hopefully it can.

A GT3RS costs around $200K, I would think you could pick up a $70K GT500 and make a few mods to match the GT3RS performance if that was your goal and still be almost $100K better off.
