Unlocking Nav on Sync 2

Hey, saw some videos on youtube where Nav is unlocked on non-nav Ford Sync 2 by pluging into the OBD 2. The 2 companies are ford-retrofit.com and obdgenie.com. Anyone see this or think it is legit??

best person to contact would be OEMRADIO on this forum, he's done some oem nav work he might be able to answer that. I believe its possible, all it is is a module that goes in the back to enable nav.
