Unlocking doors when you touch/pull the handle

I had a accident in my GT :doh: and they had to replace the passenger door. The thing I don't remember is if the passenger side also has the feature where if you have your key close and you touch/pull the door handle it automatically unlocks. The drive side on mine does, but the passenger side does not. So I am not sure if the repair was done incorrectly.

Can somebody confirm if the passenger side also has this feature.

My car is currently in the shop because the intelligent access did not work on my driver side door, but it did work on the passenger side and trunk.

Sorry to hear about the accident but I'm glad she's fixed up!

I just ran out to some of our 15's and they do indeed have the feature on both doors.

Hope you get it straightened out and I hope it's an easy fix.

Haha, this is the only part of my car that I didn't know about when I first got it. I always thought it was such a PITA to have to unlock the trunk with the remote.

u can also use the trunk release button next to the sunglass holder on the dash. but there's absolutely no reason to, ever.

I used that one quite often until the stickiness finally came off the exterior button.

+1 learn something new every day Was wondering this because all other cars with the intelligent access key can open the trunk. Glad to find this out

yeah, but this one seems to not need you near the trunk. i opened my driver's door and my friend was able to open the trunk.

I used that one quite often until the stickiness finally came off the exterior button.

i used turtle wax bug and tar remover to finally get that gunk off the button. the stickiness was from that white plastic film that's on the trunk during delivery. i guess when the dealer preps it, they yank the tape off and some of the adhesive gets left over.

These S550's are definitely sick cars and I was pleasantly surprised about a few things when I first got my hands on one!
