Received my Mustang 3 weeks ago and it has a very streaky substance. I can only see it when the car is wet/humid and the friction it creates is very noticeable on a microfiber towel and the windshield wipers. I've washed the car 3 times and clean the glass daily. It still hasn't come off. HELP

clay bar it, then wash it, then apply a couple coats of wax.

Yes, to your windshield...

I had this on my last new car and it wasn't fun. Clay and vinegar treatments didn't touch it and I had to get some glass pads and polish for my DA polisher to take care of it for good. If you don't have luck with the cheaper methods and don't have a DA polisher, a detail shop should be able to polish the glass for a small fee, it's like 15 minutes of time for the windshield to hit it a few times. No, I wouldn't trust the dealerships around here. ;)

zaino makes a glass cleaner. its like a polish but for glass. make sure the glass is cool to the touch and in cool shade or the garage cause it will clump and dry and not come off easy. work it in for a few minutes with a microfiber then buff clean with a microfiber. work in small 1x1 sections. it works wonders and will even take out those terrible watermarks on the glass. i don't use zainos product line, but this bottle i kept cause it works well.

i use chemical guys, and like the other poster said, some product on the glass will protect it. if you use glaze, some may take it off as well because they have micro cleaners in the product which are much less than a polish. good luck!
