Ok, I ordered it. Matthew at UHP has been a big help since I am a total noob at working on my own car. But I got it done with minimum bloodshed. It looks fantastic. I haven't fired it up yet, but that coming in the next day or two. In the mean time, here are some snaps of what it looks like.

Why did you go this route? I’ve never heard of this CAI and to me it doesnt look like it would flow better than the factory unit which flows very well. Your also losing the sealed airbox. I think you would draw more warm air with this setup. Did you tune for this? A change to the CAI would need a tune.

Picked it for esthetic reasons and based on what the website and YT videos said about it. As per the manufacturer it does not need a tune. We'll see about the and loss or gain losing the airbox. Air intake is down front, roughly the same area as the stock intake, but obviously with the open filter. I'll get it out for a run Monday and report back.

That video title is soooo misleading. The intake is stock but the car already has a tune and full exhaust. There is no way you can prove true gains when all of that already done to the car.

Just curious, but your profile shows you're in California. Are you concerned at all about passing emissions with the mods visible in the pics above? I don't see a CARB sticker on the new intake (is it CARB approved?) and I thought valve cover breathers were a no-no there too. Either way, enjoy your car.

Got it out for a run today, ran perfect, no check engine lights. Left the car in normal mode. Seemed to me to be a bit quicker to accelerate at the low end. Could be my imagination. But it felt good and ran as strong as always.
