First question:
I had a 2016 Tech Pack. It came with a car cover and Ford later sent an oil filter wrench so you could torque it correctly.
I just bought a 2020 GT350R. Got the other goodies, model of the crank, USB drive with videos, documentation, etc.
Do the newest cars come with the car cover?
How about the wrench for the oil filter?

Second question:
The car is off. Has not been driven for a day.
Yet, while sitting in the garage it sometimes whirs and clicks.
I know this because I'm working from home in my garage.... and I hear it.

Just wondering... WiFi update going on?

Thanks,
Kirby

The car cover is an option. The oil filter and wrench were specific to the 15/16. Yes, the car goes through checks. You have to turn on or off the Wifi updates

Car cover: not unless the dealership ordered with the car when they purchased it from Ford. Ask to see the invoice on the car to see if it was included.

Wrench: in 2018 Ford changed from a traditional oil filter to an oil canister. No wrench’s required.

Yes the car links up for updates if it is connected to your wifi.

There is no car cover on the invoice... that explains that!

The switch from the spin on cannister oil filter to the built in housing with cartridge filter was actually a mid '17 running change. Early production '17 model year built in '16 and early '17 had the spin on cannister filter. I believe in @ March/April of '17 the switch was made to the cartridge filter.

Ford's website colors are off a bit. Mine, a '19, is actually MG with black roof and black stripe. If silver had been available in '19 I very likely might have chosen that.

Check your window sticker, my cover was listed and a purchased option-dealer installed.

Glad we help. I too thought my car came with the cover, I had the dealer look, and they provided me with the invoice. That’s when I saw that it wasn’t included. I bought the cover from another dealer a few month later.

The mechanical sounds you hear is the exhaust cycling open/closed. Supposedly, it keeps it from sticking in one position.

Responding to my original post with an update on my 'R' ownership.
Thanks again for the quick responses!

Pros:
1) Absolutely love the car - excellent 'upgrade' from the 2016 Tech Pack I owned previously.
2) The CF wheels are good looking and impressive.
The rears are finished completely. Full gloss black over the entire wheel.
The fronts are only finished on the front. Behind the spokes is a rough gray surface.
Normal?
3) I like the Recaros more than I thought I would.

Cons:
1) Not really a downside, as such, but without the resonators and the back seats, the car is much louder when in Sport mode (exhaust open). The crackles, pops and bangs are hard to miss. :)
2) There's a rattle/buzz in the dash that is annoying as hell. Disappointing
3) The rear seat delete 'cover' rattles and buzzes at multiple rpms/frequencies. I've fixed a couple with some foam spacing, but have at least three more that I need to track down.

Just some comments....

Sounds like you've got a great car! The CF rims are fully finished, front and rear. The fronts have a ceramic liner inside the barrel to protect the carbon fiber from the heat of the front brakes. The "ceramic" is not like the wipe-on stuff that makes things shine, it's more like a thin layer of material like a dinner plate that stops heat from getting through.

The rears don't get hot enough to need it. Normally, the ceramic is white, but maybe it was changed to grey at some point. Or maybe it's just got some brake dust on it. In any case, you can always tell genuine CF wheels because of the ceramic liner.

As usual here, quick response. Thanks!
