TWISTER ORANGE S550 MUSTANG thread

Was missing my car while it has been in storage over the winter. So I did a thing. The paint is actual Twister Orange Tri coat (local paint company made me some rattle cans). Now I am not sure I want to put it out by the road!

Thanks, it looks great. I was wondering if they were the 6GR wheels. I have a twister orange GT500 and really want to get new wheels. I’ve always been a fan of simple 5 spoke wheels. I’m debating between the 6GR and the Velgen Classic5 V2. I really like the brushed titanium finish. The stock black wheels get lost in the shadows too much.

Thanks and totally agree. Everyone does black with this color and it looks good, but I think the lighter colors great too. I’m extremely happy with how mine turned out. The Classic 5V2 was on my list as well, but the aggressive concave profile of these won me over.

Also, tip for anyone looking for a powder that matches Twister, go with “International Orange” from Prismatic Powders. My calipers turned out great!

Thanks, I like the look of the SVE wheels, but it looks like they’re only available in 19s. I need a 20x11/20x11.5 combo to clear the front brakes.

If you like the CFTP wheels, SVE has the CFX which is the clone of the CFTP wheel (not carbon fiber obviously). They just made them available in a fully forged wheel for the GT500 too. I have the flow formed in black, but they also have a gloss graphite if you don’t want black wheel

I forgot 6GR makes a 5 spoke for the 500. They only come in black as a standard finish but you can do a custom finish for a little extra

gotta love the "twister".
not sure if i would get away with painting my mailbox competition orange....probably last a day or 2 before someone would take a bat to it.... yea its getting that bad in our town. no respect.
fyi, dont move to hagerstown unless you want to work in a warehouse....that's all they are building here at the moment....not saying they are bad, but not just 100 of them in the same area.

Thats is a concern for me to, mostly because karma, I was not a good kid when I was younger and many mailboxes met their demise in the fall due to high velocity pumpkins out of car windows. I did install a Ring Mailbox sensor in it, and if the mailbox senses motion, it will trigger all of the cameras on the front of my house. It probably won't help too much, but at least its something.

I’d love to do my mailbox in Grabber Blue. Between my wife and our HOA, it wouldn’t be standing very long though . Yours looks great!

Buy a new one, paint it Grabber Blue and install it. Your HOA can't touch it. Once installed it is federal property.
