Tune for european mustang

Well that’s interesting. I will ask around if anybody in U.K. has heard about this (plenty of 15-17s with tunes - maybe 18 is different).

In the meantime, our Aussie friends basically have U.K. Spec MY18s and have tunes (such as from Tickford).

I’m currently going through this now. I can confirm in Australia the GT doesn’t have a GPF not sure about EB

It looks like all exports have it (well certainly U.K., rest of the EU and Australia do anyway).
The filter is by the Cats.
Harrop Performance do have a tune that works with the filter

Are you certain? I’ve taken a look under and can’t see it. Also had Mustang Motorsport confirm it doesn’t as they have fitted many long tubes with no issue

no with high flow or “green cats” which wouldn’t have provision for GPF

Then it will throw an check engine light and potentially not idle properly. There is logic in the ecu for the gas particulate filter

Pretty much. I did read another thread that a guy in the UK is working on a GPF delete and has it working which would mean you can put long tube headers and have the car locally tuned I guess.

Have to wait for someone here to make a tune work with this GPF (damn EU regulations!)

The way to do this is to find headers where the cats and mid pipes bolt to the headers. I think the streetlight ones work for this. You then have two sets of cats and mid pipes. One with performance cats in, and you make up another pair using the original cats (with their in built gpf). At emissions test time you get underneath and swap the mid pipes over then put the time back to stock. Assuming no other engine work has been done that requires a tune.

I know of at least one company here in Sweden that has tuned an 18. Not sure of the exact mods as this was not disclosed. However it was a Bama tune ...

Also another company has fitted a procharger with LTs(with race cats) on one 18

We are from Sweden and no tuning is required. Our solution is a plug and play box. Install the box, and then you can remove the stock converters with gpf. You do have to weld in two bungs for the heat sensors in your new headers and if you want the maximum performance from the header install you need a custom tune as usual but now you can flash your car with a us tune
