Update. My service manager called today and said his boss higher up in the Ford food chain said they are NOT to replace my heads if my motor was still in time. He stated the bulletin is to get the step 7 corrected. So waiting on parts and for my mechanic to get freed up. Car went in 2 weeks ago - does anyone know much about the lemon law ? I believe it’s 30 days in the shop but my car was purchased out of state.

Just got a call from the Dealership where I dropped my 20 GT350 off this morning. The tensioner is not activated. I feel about half sick. I have 2400 km’s on the car, broke in properly but some heavy driving after that. Car run amazing . I was certain mine was ok because it has run so well. Now the wait!
Sorry to hear that man! - what's your chassis # or last five of vin?, builder?

Has anyone had the case where one tensioner was activated and the other wasn't? And....has anyone had the case where the passenger side (side checked in the TSB) was activated and the driver side was not? Like others on this thread I am not comfortable with the possibility of a bad part on the driver side even though my passenger side checked out as activated.
Both sides of mine were NOT activated.

If your engine was running good, it will probably be still in time. Don't have to worry so much is still in time.
You called it correctly. Dealership called me this morning with some good news. Car is still in time. Only need to change chains and tensioners. Parts have been ordered.

I’d be curious if your drivers side tensioner was activated or not. My parts were ordered last Friday and still not in - I’m just about done being nice 😡

Glad to hear it. I'm still waiting for dealer to take the valve covers off..... Been there almost two weeks now. My engine was running great so I'm guessing the engine is still in time.

They said they were changing both sides so I am assuming neither were activated. Hoping we both get our cars back Soon. I’m in Canada and can only assume I will be waiting a little longer for parts.

Yes if the passenger side fails they default to changing out both sides even if the driver’s side was good. I’d still ask them what the status was for the drivers side that will be good intel to have. It definitely could have been worse for us - good luck.

Got an update from the dealer, secondary timing is good, only have to change secondary timing chain, tensioner and guide. Tensioner was NOT activated on both sides. I have to say the mechanic at my dealer is very good and knowledgeable about the GT350’s

Is your car part of the recall? Glad they are getting you taken care of.
