Hello,
It has come time to replace the tires on my GT350. I purchased it used in April 2019 but am assuming the tires are the original ones as the car currently has 14,500 miles.
The fronts are showing cord, and the rears are 4/32". The original tread depth seems to be 8/32" from Michelin's website so I figure I have a few thousand more miles, but I don't know exactly how far I can safely wear the rears down. In preparation I have called all the tire shops in my area, as well as my Ford dealer (and Michelin themselves) and while I can find the fronts (295/35/19) there seem to be no rears (305/35/19) available at all (backordered) and Michelin does not even have a production date for them.
For context, I'm just looking to replace with something at least as good as the MPSS in a stock setup without changing anything ideally--and it is used on the street only currently so I'm not wanting Sport Cup 2's or anything of that nature.
So, the questions I have:

So, the questions I have:
- Has anyone been able to find GT350 stock rear (305/35/19) Pilot Super Sports recently--or any tips on how to locate any? I am concerned if I replace the fronts now I may end up in a position where I have almost new Super Sport fronts and cannot get Super Sport rears and that it may compromise the cars grip/handling/safety in some way (am I being paranoid...?).
- With 4/32" on the rear tires, I'm thinking I can replace the fronts only for now and continue with the rears as is--but when should I be concerned about tread depth affecting performance/traction etc (and also see above concern about ending up with mismatched front and rear tires in the future)
- In a worst case scenario, is there a typical "almost stock" option for the GT350? I have seen recommendations for the Pilot Sport 4S but I don't know if there is a size for fronts and rears that do not affect ride height/odometer/speedo.
